Francesco has supervised the development of our recovery processes for fluorescent lamps, CRTs from computer monitors and TV-sets, printed circuit boards and industrial catalysts.

He is Full Professor of “Theory and Development of Chemical Processes” at L’Aquila University, Department of Chemical Engineering.

Francesco has substantial experience in the preparation and management of research projects in the field of hydrometallurgical and bio-hydrometallurgical operations to recovery base and precious metals from waste and ores of different origins. 

He is author of more than 170 papers in international journals, more than 60 monographic publications, more than 90 presentations at conferences, extended abstract, poster and 5 patents (one national patent and 4 EU patent).

In addition he is member of the Editorial Board of Hydrometallurgy Journal (Elsevier) and of European Journal of Mineral Processing and Environmental Protection.
